Bobcat Band Blast 1.27.12 - Solo & Ensemble/ Honors Festival News

BEST WISHES to our four OMEA District Honors Band performers:  Helen He, Cassadie Baker, Emily Monaco and Maren Legg!!   They will be on stage Sunday, January 29 at 7:00 pm at the Stranahan Theater.  The concert is FREE and OPEN to the public.

 THANKS to all who already have returned the BLUE CARDS regarding Solo & Ensemble workers for February 11, 2012.  You may send via USPS (snail mail) or send with your young adult(s). 

 TRAINING MEETING for S & E  will be MONDAY, Feb. 6 at 7:00 PM in the HS  Music Area.  For those not able to attend the training, you will be contacted for your particular work area.  We will need LOTS of cookies & brownies and 30-40 adults to make the day complete!

 ACCOMPANISTS have been secured for all students who need one.  Along with contest fees, music and clinicians, the Boosters are willing to assist with the compensation of these professionals.  However, donations ARE welcome!  The accompanists earn $25.00 per student for multiple rehearsals and the performance. (These friends of the Bobcat Band are willing to work for far less than the prevailing costs for accompanists in other places!)  If you are willing to donate to your student’s accompanist costs, please make checks payable to: BGHS Band Boosters.

 STORE & UNIFORM FEES Many thanks to those whoa re catching up on these obligations.  Thanks also to Mrs. Kramer and Band treasurer Jane for getting the mailing ready!  We are most happy to make the store a convenient place to buy reeds, etc. to save our families the time and expense of driving far out-of-town.  However, we do need to try to “break even” as much as possible!
