Honors Groups

Listed below are honor bands that typically form during the course of a given year. Those that have announced details are listed below. Others are updated as information is received. Students are notified directly by the band directors through regular announcements at school.

2 - Capital University New Music Reading Clinic

3 - University of Akron Ohio Band Directors’ Conference Honor Band

4 - Ohio University (Athens) Honor Band Festival Concert: High School Honor Band

5 - 2012 OMEA District Honors Band

This is the most prestigious of all of the  "Honor Band"  opportunities throughout the state of Ohio. Annually, over 5oo students apply and 90-100 are accepted; 80-90 for the Concert Band and the rest for the winds & percussion of the All-State Orchestra.
