Thursday, May 21, we will release the Itinerary for the Memorial Day parades. With our extremely early graduation date, there have been some changes from past years. In addition to the website copy, hard copies will be available in our room.
-
The itineraries for the Commencement Band students (many of the remaining students in grades 9-11, but certainly not all will be needed to perform) will be ready on Friday, May 22.
-
As of this afternoon, there still are 72 band students with store debts - that's exactly 50% of all students enrolled in band today! Snail mail letters are enroute, listing the exact amount owed. Many are only $5.00, owed since marching band season, for a single pair of gloves! Please help your student to attend to this responsibility by May 27.
-
The store letter, on the reverse side, is a confirmation of the status of your uniform maintenance fee payment, which was due last fall. The frequent reminders that have appeared on this website have been useful; however, there still are approx.25-30 families who have not responded at all. If you are able to now take care of this responsibility, it would be greatly appreciated! It's almost time for another major dry cleaning bill!

Lastly, please remember to communicate directly with Mr. Landry or myself concerning student absences from scheduled performances. We take our responsibility to you, to your child and to this community very seriously. There was one "unaccounted for" young man last Sunday - a very serious matter for us. Performance absences, without prior permission, are unexcused and will appear as an "F" grade for that event. Absences for which you desire an excuse for your child must be arranged in advance - the "yellow forms" are in the Instrumental Room, where they have been all year. We expect direct communication from parent to director, so that we can account for - and take very good care of - each and every student in this ensemble.
Also, Memorial Day always has been, and will continue to be, a service for which we are proud to offer this community. While I have agreed to allow the 2010 graduates a little leeway, in deference to family concerns and schedules, the Bobcat Band proudly will be performing for the Bowling Green and Custar communities, as always.
