Bobcat Band Blast

1.  Pep Band:  Pep band will gather at 6:15 PM Friday for the home game.  We are most pleased with the students’ participation – we are averaging more than 30 musicians per game!   See you Friday!

2. Solo & Ensemble:  Most details were on last week’s Blast.  Here is the latest update:

• Those riding the bus to Perrysburg – be @ BGHS at 6:45 AM, ready to go.

• Those returning from PHS on the bus – we will try to load by 4:20 PM, be back at BGHS by 4:45.

• Students received very complete information packets at school today – there have been 2-3 time change requests since 9:00 AM. (Please be sure to ask your son/daughter if they are in one of the events that asked for consideration after we printed the packets.)

• Parents/friends ARE welcome – please understand that this is a very crowded environment, sometimes difficult for the very young or the very “mature” to negotiate.  Please remember that the posted performance times may vary, as accompanists are double-scheduled, etc.  Allow time to get your bearings in a school building significantly larger than ours!  Absolutely NO still or video photography, no texting, no phone calls in the performance rooms.  Violating this rule may lead to a possible disqualification; operating electronics during musical performances is always discourteous to the performers!

• Attire - Nice, but not “formal”.  Shirts with collars would be preferable to “T-Shirts”.  Ladies are welcome to wear pants or skirts/dresses; make good, “comfortable” shoe choices!  This is a “special” occasion – think professional/special/first job interview, perhaps., but not as “fussy” as a Homecoming outfit.  (A “revealing” outfit is never an appropriate choice for a school-sponsored music event!)
